this is ALL AI generated, needs review, hence why it is being pushed to a separate branch first
was having lockfile issues with drizzle update, i took the easy way out and deleted the lockfile and reinstalled everything
some things are untested, need to move on to the next step. removed migrations, using push from now on. created a types file on the db package to have the types of all db related things to replace the separate files made for the front and backend.
